Villa Dimitri and Villa Andromeda are situated on an 8000 square metre plot on a hillside directly above the sea. The property is located 800 metres west of Armenistis, on the fertile and lovely west side of Ikaria below a small country road.
Vines, olive and fruit trees, a vegetable garden, mastic trees and several old cedars grow in the terraced gardens. Bougainvillea and sunflowers provide colourful accents to the green of the plants and the earth-coloured natural stone walls.
Flower gardens are laid out around the flats, whose blossoms attract bees and butterflies.
Just a few metres below the house, you can sunbathe privately on a bathing rock in calm seas and swim and snorkel in the crystal-clear sea. We feed the fish in our bathing bay and a small natural aquarium with many different fish has formed there.
The terraced Villa Dimitri extends over six levels above the rocky coast. The Mediterranean architecture of the building with its lush planting and flower gardens blends in harmoniously with the surroundings.
Most of the floors of Villa Dimitri were built in the 1990s. In recent years, all the flats have been renovated, especially the kitchens and bathrooms.
Each of the six flats has its own entrance and large terraces with views of the endless sea.
The flats Apollon, Artemis, Dimitra, Dionysos and Poseidon are located in Villa Dimitri.
The architecture of the newly built Villa Andromeda enchants with its attention to detail:
Curved, gleaming white walls with arched openings, behind which the navy blue Aegean merges with the light blue of the sky;
Niches with busts and reliefs from antiquity; large clay amphorae from which bright red geraniums, hibiscus and mauve-coloured bougainvillea spill out; tiled floors with inlaid patterns.
